Protecting one of earth’s resources
through responsible and legal growth and harvesting.

Our believe is that wood is the most environmentally sustainable and renewable of all building materials.

As long as the wood is responsibly and legally grown and harvested.

We also recognize that unsustainable and irresponsible harvesting of forests can have severe adverse effects on the environment, local communities, indigenous people of the forest as well as the global economy. And that is why we strive to protect our supply chain from such devestating harvesting of wood.

And, why we support triple bottom line focused companies that go to great lengths to work with communities to protect their forests, while learning how to responsibly harvest and extract value to support the communities in the ways that best server and protect their needs.

Our Triple Bottom Line Environmental Approach:

Protect the environment by preserving the forest cover avoiding CO2 release.

Create long lasting employment and valuable social services for local communities.

Deliver recurring financial returns, thereby making this effort sustainable.

We feel that if opportunites for people to harvest responsibly are not provided in regions that have significant threats to their forests that the threats will become bigger and more problematic. Our intention is to support the work to hault deforestation through scalable models which support local communities economically. That is why we worked to support what was the formation of the first and at the time largest FSC concession in Indoneisa in the 90’s, Currenlty the FSC concessions in 200,000 hectares (494,210 Acres).
